CW MASTERCLASS TRAINING

Why Do We Do Masterclass?

Masterclass is an event to help teams get started in their Charity Week planning. The aim is to get across the basics, sign post where to find out more information, and leave them motivated with our vision!

It usually is also the first time that we meet our institutions, and provide tailored support, showing them that we are there every step of their charity week journey.

Have fun and motivate them to build us a better future.

When IS MASTERCLASS?

5th, 6th, 12th, 13th August

Decide from the above options, depending on when your region is ready. If you are struggling with capacity to run Masterclass, please let your National Shura & Institution Support know for assistance.

Also decide upon a time in the day that has 90minutes free, without clashing with any prayer times.

HOW DO ATTENDEES REGISTER FOR MASTERCLASS?

National Gen Secs will create the TicketTailor so please get in touch with them with your chosen date and time so that they can create the event on charityweek,com/masterclass

Institution groups can easily then sign up to attend.

PLATFORM FOR MASTERCLASS

Please share venue and timing details with the national GenSec. If you’re going to allow people to join virtually, please create a meeting link on Zoom/GoogleMeet and share it with the National GenSec so those who sign up to your masterclass, receive the joining link when registering on TicketTailor.

MASTERCLASS MAIN SESSION

Please make sure you make a copy of the slides before editing.

ONE to ONE SESSION

Please plan ahead of time which Institution Support team member will be meeting which Instituion for the 1to1 session, and share the Participant Development Plan (PDP) before your meeting. Ask each Institution Support team member to share a GoogleMeet link into the WhatsApp group with that instituion group, so they can join a direct meeting on the day.  Aim to have this session for 30-45 minutes max.

This session is an opportunity to provide direct support and form a better working relationship with the institution. Every institution should be offered and highly encouraged to attend one of these sessions. We strongly encourage these sessions to be held straight after the main Masterclass session, or at least on the same day, to simplify booking a time.

If this is the first support meeting for a institution, much of the time will be introductions and icebreakers, and this should not be skipped. The more comfortable a institution is with their Institution Support team member, the more they’ll ask for help, and the more support CW can give. Before the meeting, communicate with the institution to bring any plans or ideas already developed for Charity Week. Use the PDP as a tool to provide a well-rounded 121 support to your institution.

Upon concluding the session, it will likely be advantageous to arrange follow-up support meetings with the institution to continue providing advice and guidance to plan their CW. These should be set at a time suitable to the Institution Support team member and institution.

Participant Development Plan

The Participant Development Plan has been put together to help facilitate the 121 section of the Masterclass.
