At Charity Week, we believe that self accountability is vital so that we can learn from our mistakes and our successes. As one of the few Muslim youth projects to publish an Annual Report in detail, we hope that it will give you a small taste of what it is like to organise one of the largest Muslim youth projects in the world. Last year, during Charity Week 2024 we saw:

The last year was one of the hardest our Ummah has witnessed in recent memory. From the continued genocide in Gaza to the devastation in Sudan and beyond, the pain has been relentless. At times, it felt like the world had given up; the lack of unity has never been more apparent. Then, a group of ordinary people with extraordinary character chose a different path. At a time when it was easier to look away, they chose to act. When disunity was loud and overwhelming, they built bridges. When others fell silent, they raised their voices – not for themselves, but for those who had none. Under the theme of Social Justice, they reminded us that unity is not a dream; it is a choice.
Over 950 institutions across the globe made that choice, standing side by side to prove that change is not a distant dream. It is a reality we create, right here and right now. Together, they have been proof that, united, we can shift the tide of injustice – supporting not only the cause of Gaza, but also Sudan and many other places where injustice persists.
To every volunteer, every organiser, every institution – to the Islamic Relief offices and Education Above All: Through your sacrifices and steadfastness, you have been a source of inspiration for Muslims to unite – a beacon of light in the darkest of nights. When the course of suffering shifts, it will be because people like you were already part of that change.
May Allah (SWT) accept every moment, and may we be the answer to the prayers of the oppressed.
