The Untold History of Islam and West Africa
The Islamic Medical Society is proud to present this exciting lecture in collaboration with Islamic Societies across the UK Midlands aimed at exploring and uncovering the deep rooted relationship between Islam and Black History.

Ismael Lea South will be exploring how Islam spread to Africa via trade, how it was taught to kings and local rulers and debunking myths associated with Islam in West Africa!

Fast forwarding to recent history, he will be analysing Islam and the Diaspora and introducing notable figures beyond Muhammad Ali and Malcolm X.

A fantastic opportunity to learn and expand our knowledge of history and culture, a topic which many of us are unfamiliar with. This event is open for all worldwide!
